William Hague gives slapheads a bad name?
Wed 15 March Prime Ministers Questions
Mr. Harry Barnes, MP for North-East Derbyshire, insults the leader of the opposition at Prime Ministers Questions.
Barnes
opens his question to the Prime Minister, on the subject of a possible
taxation on currency speculation, with the line: "One of the things that
is wrong with the Leader of the Opposition is that he gives slapheads a
bad name."
The comment, coming from Barnes, who is a slaphead himself, caused
an uproar of laughter from the house, including Hague, who is seen here
earlier at Parliament.
